In a multi-ethnic and multi-linguistic society with cultural and religious diversity such as ours, the knowledge of Intercultural Education is a must for every stakeholder in education sector.
Intercultural Education refers to the acquisition of knowledge and skills that support the ability of learners to both understand culture and interact with people from cultures different from their own.
In this course, the teachers shall be trained on definition, description, examples and types of Intercultural Education. Attempt shall also be made to distinguish between interculturalism and multiculturalism.
